Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master

The National Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics is offering the following postgraduate courses.

• Graduate Certificate/Graduate Diploma/Master of Maritime Engineering (Naval Engineering)
• Graduate Certificate/Graduate Diploma/Master of Maritime Engineering (Technology Management)

The Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma and Master of Maritime Engineering degree courses will provide engineering graduates, with in-depth exposure to a wide range of subjects relevant to the development and procurement of maritime engineering systems. These programs are aimed at engineering professionals already in the workforce with limited exposure to the maritime engineering sector and who wish to continue working while studying to gain a relevant professional qualification.

The course has been specifically designed to provide a flexible learning approach though interactive online study. In addition, some units are also available for on campus study. Students may specialise in one of the two majors: Technology Management or Naval Engineering; while retaining some flexibility to combine units from across either major.

The Technology Management major enables students to combine marine engineering technical knowledge with management skills. It is particularly suited to students who wish to develop a career in technical management in the maritime industry.

The Naval Engineering major enables students to develop their marine engineering knowledge in areas related to surface vessels or submarines. It is particularly suitable to students already working in defence-related projects who wish to develop a career in technical design and systems engineering projects.

Individual units will also be available to professionals who may not wish to enrol in the program but who may wish to develop expertise in a particular area for professional development purposes.
