These courses provides an opportunity for registered pharmacists to develop and enhance their skills and qualifications in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice research. Being a flexible education program delivered online, the courses are particularly suited to pharmacists from rural and remote areas, with limited access to formal educational programs.
These courses will equip registered pharmacists with the fundamental knowledge and skills to enhance career opportunities as a clinical or consultant (accredited medication review) pharmacist, and perform expanded professional services that are being developed in Australia and overseas.
Completion of the Master of Clinical Pharmacy will also prepare candidates for enrolment in a Research Higher Degree program.
These courses will provide a formal training program for pharmacists to provide clinical services. Online delivery will enable access by pharmacists from overseas, as well as from rural and remote areas of Australia.
The courses will support pharmacists in becoming accredited to conduct medication reviews, and enhance their role as a member of the health care team. The courses will develop pharmicists' ability to communicate effectively with other health professionals and patients.
