Domestic Fees Schedule
The table below outlines the approximate fees, either Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) or Full Fee, that a student will incur for postgraduate coursework study in the subject areas listed. These fees are based on the full-time study load for each course, with all units studied being within the same discipline. It is possible, however, for students to undertake units from several disciplines towards completion of a postgraduate program, in which case the unit fees may vary. In this case the annual fee for full-time study would vary from that listed in the table. Unit fees can be obtained from the unit level of the course in the Course and Unit Guide.
Eligible domestic students are able to defer their tuition fees for both CSP and Full Fee places by accessing HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP, dependent upon the fee structure of the course. For further information ring the Australian Taxation Office HECS inquiries number 132 861, or visit www.goingtouni.gov.au. Alternatively, students may elect to pay tuition fees in part or in full upfront.

* Graduate Certificate (4 units only), which may be taken full-time (4 units over 1 semester) or part-time (1-2 units over 2-4 semesters)
The above CSP fees are calculated based on the Commonwealth Grant Scheme funding cluster groupings as established by DEST. The four different levels (for domestic students) are indicated below:
| National Priorities | Band 1 | Band 2 | Band 3 |
|---|---|---|---|
|
$4520* per full-time year |
$5648* per full-time year |
$8050* per full-time year |
$9425* per full-time year |
|
Maths |
Nursing |
Computing |
Law |
* Notes:
- These costs are discounted for up-front payment, but most students defer HECS liabilities until they commence earning a salary.
- The national priority maximum annual student contribution amount applies to students who commenced their course of study on, or after, 01 January 2009 regardless of the course of study. The national priority maximum also applies to continuing students who transfer to a course of study in the Natural and Physical Sciences from one that is not.
- Mathematics, statistics and science units of study are those units of study in the Natural and Physical Sciences Field of Education that are classified in Chapter 9 of the Commonwealth Grant Scheme (CGS) Guidelines as being in Funding Cluster 3 or 6. The Guidelines may alter in updated Guidelines following legislative amendment.
- Pre-2010 students: Grandfathering arrangements exist for Commonwealth supported students who commenced a course of study prior to 01 January 2010 and had not completed that course prior to that date. Information about these arrangements is available at www.goingtouni.gov.au

HECS-HELP Benefit
The Commonwealth HECS-HELP benefit aims to encourage graduates of mathematics, science, education or nursing courses of study to take up employment in related occupations – eligible graduates have the ability to reduce their HELP repayments and/or debt by applying for a HECS-HELP benefit.
Students should visit www.goingtouni.gov.au or www.ato.gov.au for information, eligibility requirements and applications.
